Udupi:  Hundreds of farmers took part actively in the district level Krishi Utsav organized at Katapady on May 20, Sunday. Various programmes were organized as part of the fest. Farming equipment, agricultural products etc were on display during the festival which also witnessed cattle show and seminars on various relevant issues pertaining to farming.

Food stalls, rooster show and flower show too attracted a large number of people. Several farmer leaders took part in the festival held under the aegis of the District Krishi Utsav Committee under the honorary presidentship of D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthalaa.

The event was inaugurated by a progressive farmer of Katapady Ponkra Poojari. Lalaji Mendon, MLA of Kaup, Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLC, Raviraj Hegde, KMF President, Devadas Hebbar, Taluk Panchayat President, AG Kodgi, Third Finance Commission Task Force President and others were present on the occasion.
