Bangalore: Krishna Byregowda, KPYCC Chief, informed the Press today that elections in Youth Congress Bodies in state would be held in May-June this year. He made the statement in Udupi where he arrived for a membership drive before holding elections in YC. The preliminary meetings are being held in Jan-Feb. 2011, he added. He is holding a meeting in Mangalore on Jan.16 and later on in Karwar.
Under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, talented and dedicated youths are being recruited and elected to committees from rural to state and parliamentary levels to strengthen Congress, he told. The age was between 18 and 35 for the youths to join national service. They should have a clean record and eagerness to serve the people, he said, during a membership drive held in Udupi district.
