Udupi: Krishna Janmashtami celebrations which were celebrated at Ashta Math in the leadership of Pejawar Shree and Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji concluded with grand Vittla Pindi, on Thursday.
Thousands of people witnessed the cultural celebration of Krishna Janmashtami and participated in special rituals.
Vittla Pindi started at 3.30 pm. Pejawar Shree and seers of Ashta Math took part in ‘Shobha Yatra’. A procession was taken out in Car Street with Lord Krishna’s idol. Mosaru Kudike game was played by the Yadava’s on the occasion.
Celebrations concluded with drowning of Krishna’s idol in Madhva Lake.
