Mangalore :  Krishna J. Palemar supporters and the members of J. Krishna Palemar Abhimani Balaga organized a protest rally on Feb 13, Monday.

The silent rally was started from Ambedkar Circle and reached DC Office and staged a protest.

Addressing the protestors, former Mayor Shankar Bhat said that no one has the proof for the involvement of Palemar in the porn-viewing episode and alleged that people have conspired against him in jealous and made him responsible for this episode.

He said that Palemar has done lot of developmental projects in the district and it is impossible to imagine Mangalore without Palemar.

Further speaking on the issue, he said that the media has propagated the lie that he was involved in the porn-viewing incident in assembly, but actually Palemar was seated at a good distance from the Savadi and Patil, who were watching the clip, and was just being made a scapegoat.

BJP minority wing Aziz Baikampady said that DK requires Palemar’s leadership. He said that he must be again given the post of district-in-charge minister after the investigative report comes on March 13.

Kumble Sundar Rao, president of Karnataka Yakshagana Academy, Former mayors Ganesh Hosabettu and Rajani Dugganna, corporators Madhukiran, Tilakraj, Santhosh, Shakuntala, Pushparaj Shetty, Bhaskar Chandra Shetty, Mohan Padil, and many others were also present.
