Mangalore: ‘Mahanadi’, a film directed by Krishnappa Uppoor is set for release by the year end.
Speaking to reporters in Mangalore, Uppoor said the heroine centric film was shot at different locales in 48 days.
He said the film revolves around a young woman of the fishermen community who dreams of marrying a Mumbai youth.
Sanjana and Dilip Raj are the lead cast of the movie, he informed.
He also recollected the encouragement and patronage of Jerry Dais for the movie, when none came to extend financial support for the film two years ago.
Sanjana, the heroine said she had a very challenging role in Mahanadi and hoped the film would be a hit. Jerry Dais, the producer, Sundernath Suvarna, photographer, Scarlet, actress of British origin, music director AM Neil, media co-ordinator Yatish Baikampady and others were present.
