Udupi :Former CM H D Kumaraswamy and Mandya MP Sumalatha are involved in an altercation over the KRS dam, but the government will not respond to it. Their act is not befitting their stature, said State Minister for Forest, Kannada and Culture Aravinda Limbavali.
He was speaking to reporters in Udupi on July 10, Saturday “KRS dam had really developed cracks. It is the responsibility of the government to protect this dam. The work will be taken up by the Irrigation Department,” he said.
Asked whether the BJP has distanced itself from Sumalatha, Limbavali said she had fought elections on her own.
Regarding the allegation that a Karkala Congress worker had offended soldiers though his social media post, Limbavali said former CM Siddaramaiah instead of condemning the act has only criticised police action against a Congress worker. It is better for him to withdraw his statement, Limbavali said.
