Mangalore : The DK District Hajj Executive Committee (DKDHEC), under the guidance of the Karnataka State Hajj Committee (KSHC) has organized a passport mela at Yenepoya Trust office, Karnad Sadashiva Rao Memorial Building, Idgah, Light House Hill Road, Mangalore on Feb 14, Tuesday.
The organizer aims to hold passport mela in order to avoid confusion among Hajj pilgrims at the last minute. The Hajj pilgrims from Udupi, DK, Uttara Kannada, and Kodagu districts can make use of this mela and will conclude on Feb 18.
The organizers helped the applicants to fill in the application forms and explained the procedure to them during the passport mela.
Yenepoya Mohammed Kunhi, the president of the DKHEC, S. M. Rasheed Haji, Rasheed Haji, B. A. Moideen Bawa, K. M. Basha and others were present at the inauguration ceremony.
