Mangalore : Former MLA M. D. Lakshminarayana, and chairman of Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation Limited (KHDC), inaugurated the 42nd showroom of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation Limited at Priyadarshini, on Dec 20 Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, M. D. Lakshminarayana said that KHDC generates annual revenue of Rs. 150 crore from 54 showrooms across the nation.
He also said that KSIC and KHDC aim to provide high quality silk products to the consumers of Karnataka. Wide varieties of saris with kasauti embroidery saris, plain printed saris, crepe de chine saris, along with silk shirts, ties, and scarves are displayed at the showroom.
DC Dr. N. S. Channappa Gowda, Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, KSIC Chairman B. Vijayakumar, KSIC MD G. Ramachandra, and KHDC MD Mohammed Mohsin were present.
