Bengaluru : Vaman Acharya on Friday resigned as the chairman of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, saying he resigned due to personal reasons. He said it was “difficult” to work with the government.

Mr. Acharya refuted speculations that he had to take the decision due to allegations against him.

He had only a few days left for his three year tenure to end.
