Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has introduced Airavat (Scania) Diamond Class buses and will begin services between Bengaluru to Murdeshwar and Kundapur via Hassan and Mangaluru from January 4, 2017. It is said that these buses will replace the existing Volvo Mark – 2 vehicles operating on the said route.

Accordingly, the bus to Murdeshwar will leave Bengaluru at 9.30 pm and will reach its destination at 8 am the next day. The bus will then leave Murdeshwar at 8.15 pm and will reach the state capital at 6.45 am the next day. The fare per person will be Rs 876.

Buses to Kundapur will leave Bengaluru everyday at 8.30 am, 9.40 pm, 10.10 pm, 10.45 pm and are scheduled to reach their destination at 5.45 pm, 7 am, 7.30 am and 8 am respectively. When returning to Bengaluru, the bus timings are 09.01 am, 7.50 pm, 8.24 pm and 8.40 pm. The travel fare will be Rs 871 per person.

The buses are scheduled to operate on a daily basis.
