Mangalore : Police have busted the mystery behind the suspicious death of Kudroli scrap merchant Abdul Rasheed. They have arrested his wife Naseema (36), her paramour Mohammad Imran and Saleem, the husband of Naseema’s younger sister.

Investig ations by the Panambur police revealed that Naseema had an affair with Imran and therefore had frequent quarrels with her husband Rashid. It is learnt, fed up with the quarrels, she decided to eliminate her husband and with the help of Saleem had contacted  Abdulla alias Kalia a criminal and professional killer from Manjeshwar and another Mukri Siddique.

As per plan on the night of June 20, she mixed sleeping pills in her husband’s food and when he fell fast asleep the two persons whom she had hired had hit his head with an iron rod and killed him. The body was then thrown to Gurupur river.

 The police grew suspicisous as there were injury marks on the body, Naseema and three others were taken into custody and questioned when the truth came to light. Even during examination of the house, police found blood stains in the cotton filling of the bed. Naseema was caught here as she had seen to it that the entire house was cleaned up after the act of killing her husband.

It is learnt Rashid had planned an Umrah tour with his wife on June 25 in order to wash off her sins but Naseema eliminated him before that. His body was found at Tanneerbavi beach.
