Sullia: The Kukke Subramanya temple donated Rs three crore to the chief minister’s relief fund for Kodagu-flood affected on Thursday.
Temple Managing Committee Chairman Nityananda Mundodi said that the committee had decided to donate Rs two crore for the relief works during its meeting held earlier. The amount has been increased to Rs three crore as per a state government order directing temples coming under the Muzrai department to donate Rs three crore.
Rs 3 crore cheque Handed over to Vijaya Bank, Subrahmanya branch manager, He added that the amount will be transferred to the Muzrai department account through RTGS.
Temple CEO Ravindra H M, Managing Committee members Balakrishna Balleri, Rajivi Rai R, Madhava D, Zilla Dharmika Parishat member Vimala Rangaiah and Master Plan committee member Shivarama Rai were present on the occasion.
