Bangalore: The former CM and JD-S leader H.D. Kumaraswamy accused retired Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde as someone who had no moral right to speak against corruption at large in the state. He was talking to media people on Monday here.
He referred to large scale discussions taking place in state to find solution to widespread corruption. Publicly, Hegde was conducting dialogue with institutions and colleges (students) to gain publicity for himself, but why he could not prevent or reign in on corruption prevailing in Lokayukta department Kumaraswamy demanded to know, in a manner of ridicule.
A police officer in Lokayukta department, Madhukar Shetty has gone on leave abroad, looking at the disorder in his office in disgust. Hegde himself criticised the department as largely corrupt and the persons working there more dangerous then corrupt officials in other places.
This shows his unsatiable thirst for publicity, and he was using certain happenings in his own former office as pawns of the game of condemnation, such is the doubt Kumaraswamy had and said, while pressmen blinked.
