Mysore: While HD Devegowda still running his show in Hassan and Bangalore, HD Kumaraswamy is thinking only of retirement from politics, because people (read it voters) have begun to doubt if he had became a victim of corruption at large, instead of an armed soldier, to fight it like a gladiator.
In a seminar arranged in Mysore on Sunday about “social justice and reforms’ and in a programme set to honour a few lawyers, he gave a vent to his misgivings against commoners.
Even when he had placed so many documents relating to open and clandestine corruption case against CM in the last six months, people neither treat them seriously nor at least fight it out on streets as an issue basic to BJP rule. He thought he did not have the mental fortitude of his father (HD Devegowda).
As such he was worried, if he should carry on the struggle any longer for their (people’s) benefit. He felt that he was getting out of active politics, step by step.
He told correspondents that he came into politics accidentally and became chief minister by seizing an opportunity accidentally. His photo will be hung in the Vidhan Soudha on walls along with other CMs. A national flag would cover his dead body, if he passed away. There are no better strong objectives (or aims) in any case now, he said, and regretted that Devegowda family is regarded as one that was corrupt since long years.
