Kundapur : A Naxal suspect Saroja who hails from Koppa taluk and is behind bars since four years, was on March 22, Friday produced before the court. The court acquitted her of the last one case pending against her for want of evidences.
Earlier, Saroja has been absolved of charges in all the nine cases before the court. Sources say presently one case is pending against her in Udupi court. Though a total of 22 cases were filed against her, she has been proved innocent in all 21 cases.
Saroja was arrested by the Shimoga police from Soraba along with one Devendra (37) almost four years ago,. She was later entrusted to Udupi police in 2010 in connection with Naxal activities in Amasebail and Shankernarayana police station limits.
