Kundapur: A two-wheeler rider died in a road accident on the National Highway in Tallur on September 2 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Seetharama Shetty, 55, a resident of Tallur.

A pickup vehicle traveling from Byndoor to Kundapur lost control and climbed the divider. Meanwhile, Seetharama Shetty, who traveling from Kundapur to Tallur, slowed down his two-wheeler, a speeding fish lorry from the rear crashed into his bike and fled without stopping.

The rider Seetharama Shetty, who was seriously injured, fell on the road and died on the spot.

Deceased Seetharama Shetty runs a business in Kundapur, He survived by his wife and a daughter.

A case has been registered at the Kundapur Traffic Police Station.
