Kota : Acting on complaint by public, Udupi Labour Department officials conducted a raid at bar in Sastan and rescued a child labourer employed as a cleaner on October 29, Wednesday.
The boy aged 13 years, hailing from a village named Sindan in Bandra district of Uttar Pradesh has been rescued who has been employed in the bar last week.
It is learnt that, the poor financial background of the boy’s family led him to work as a cleaner in the bar. The boy is said to have brought by a mason hailing from UP.
The officials rehabilitated the boy at Kedooru, Thekkatte.
District Senior Labour Officer H P Jnanesh, Kundapur Labour Officer Sathyanarayan, Jeevan Kumar, Prabhakar Achar, Keshav Koteshwar of Spoorthi Dhama and Kota police officials conducted the raid operation.
