Mnaglore: Labourers (daily wagers) took out a procession under CITU to voice their demands, wanting reduced working hours. The procession began from Town Hall and assembled near DCO raising slogans against violation of rights of common labourers.

CITU leader B.Madhava addressing the agitating workers at DCO gates, spoke of an International Action Day observed as on 3rd October, 1945 by World Federation of Trade Unions in Paris (France), which continued till now. There were 6 demands.

Banks, Insurance Cos, BSNL workers and other labourers participated in the procession heralding the IA Day.

General Secretary Vasanth Achary, CorporatorJayanth Shetty, and other leaders participated in the programme.
