Mangalore : BJP District president Monappa Bhandary called a press meet at District BJP office on Jan 25, Wednesday and said that the programme like Hindu Samajotsav is not new in the district but was organized from 20 years to create awareness among Hindus on various matters like dangers of the proposed Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill, Conversion, Love Jehad and terrorism.

He also said that police department is mainly responsible for the stone pelting incident. If the security has tightened up the stone pelting would not have been occurred and BJP condemn this act.

Bhandary said that if any one was hurt by the speech of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, they would file a complaint with the police than take law in hand and create blunder. This is a preparation to people in their confidence and gain votes for the coming Vidhan Sabha election by the congress ad KFD leaders, he said.

Congress people also say that Bhat must be get rid from the district, Bhandary said that he was not insulting any community or religion, but was discussing about the problems that was confronting for the country and his words were clear, he said.

City Block Congress to hold protest against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat on Jan 27

Mangalore : The City Block Congress condemn the provocative speech delivered by RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat at the Hindu Samajotsav held at Uppinangady, said Congress leader Ivan D’Souza.

He was addressing the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands Hall on Jan 25, Wednesday. He said that the members and activists of City Block Congress will stage protest against such incident in front of DC Office on Jan 27, Friday from 10.30 am to 12 pm.

He said that when the police had filed FIR against Prabhakar Bhat, the district in charge minister visited Uppinangady police station and asked to take back the FIR. The minister who is supposed to protect the people of the district are itself going against them and supporting the person who orally attacked every community.

He said that Minister Palemar has not applied his mind and used his power. He must know that he is not the minister for one particular community but for entire district.

Congress leaders like Praveenchandra Alva, Nagendra and Ashraf were present.
