Kundapur: In a case of rape and sexual harassment to a lady at Kundapur, it is learnt that the lady had presented a cooked up story in front of her family and police. The police have found that Rajesh, a car driver didn’t attempt to rape her.

A lady from Kollur of age 20 years had gone missing from Monday evening and she returning back unwell on Tuesday evening. When family members enquired her she narrated a story of her rape from a car driver called Rajesh.

In police complaint it was mentioned that she was abducted in a car a Rajesh raped her whole night and threatened her not to tell this with anyone. Police had taken Rajesh into custody on Wednesday and questioned him severely.

During investigation Rajesh claimed that he was out of his native as his car was hired by someone to go to Mangaluru. He also challenged the police to trace his mobile number. When police verified the calls of Rajesh and the lady it was found that Rajesh was in Mangaluru on that day.

When police further interrogated the lady, she revealed that she was with her boy friend on that night and when she came back to home she heard the news of her missing complaint filed by her family. To escape from that moment she cooked up a story and narrated it in front of family and police.

Later speaking to the media Rajesh said that because of this case he has lsot honour and self respect.

“I am mentally tortured by this case. Police were convinced that I haven’t seen the girl whom they were referring. This case has made me mentally weak,” he said.
