The bus service was introduced on August 12 to reduce inconvenience caused to women passengers who have to otherwise cope with the heavy rush during peak hours. The bus departs from Kasargod at 8 am and in the evening the bus leaves Mangalore at 6.5 pm.
Presently, the bus is earning Rs 1500 to Rs 1600 per trip during evening hours. The KSRTC has ruled out the possibility of having a lady conductor for the bus as the bus which leaves Mangalore during evening arrives the next day.
