Mangalore : After the happy time Lakshadweep cruise journey from Mangalore, the situation has heated up after the customers have filed complaint against the agent Rahseed Bolar for not reserving the seat for 5 voyages even after collecting the money for the tickets.
Speaking at the port, one of the victims K Pradeep from Davangere said that, Rasheed had earlier collected the amount of Rs 7,000 for the ticket including the food and when they visited the port, for the Lakshadweep tour, it was realized that their seats were not booked, hence they informed the police on the matter.
Presently the people who were supposed to sail to Lakshadweep are staying in Hotel Nalapad Residency. When this matter came to light, P Asif Azad, proprietor of Modern Transport Services came to the spot. He said that, he is only the authorized agent of the Lakshadweep tour in Mangalore and Rasheed was acting as an agent and fooling the people. The total cost of the weekend package booked by him costs Rs 5,200 including food and accommodation. The problem has been raised since; the people who paid money to Rasheed for booking the seats have not been reserved since it is not real booking, said K. Pradeep.
The receipts given by Rasheed to the victims are also duplicate and do not have any connection with the tour, he added.The other people who have booked the tickets are Srinivas Moorthy, Ajanth, Nagraj and Shridhar.
Later, Sub Inspector Ramakrishna of Pandeshwar South Police Station arrested Rasheed Bolar, fo his activities.
