Mangalore: Under separate schemes brought into force by the state, 317 acres of land have been identified and reserved for various beneficiaries, as land sites and for housing projects, according to DK-DC, Subodh Yadav who spoke on Tuesday to Press.
Within 6 months of taking charge of this coastal district, housing and other popular projects have been taken on projects have been taken on hand for quick disposal, by identifying areas of land. In rural parts, 285 acres of land under different GPs are identified and work given to GPs. In Sulkeri (Belthangady Taluk) 41 acres for multi-purpose projects and 190 acres are reserved for tribal families (aborigines), Yadav informed. In Bantwal, Moodabidri, Sullia, Puttur, Mangalore City, several acquired lands are kept reserved for various works of development, he added.
