Karkala : Justice long due in the rape and murder case of my daughter Sowjanya(20) a college student of Ujire college must be meted out in proper time to satisfy her parents and other people who knew her has a victim of a ugly experience, said Kusumavathi, mother of Sowjanya addressing a large rally of sympathetic people who assembled in a protest rally organized by Praja Prabhutva Vedike (PPV) by her on Sunday, Dec.1 at Bajagoli near Karkala town.
She added that many people who are parents of their lost daughters numbering over 450 in the last 30 years have been ignored by the police and the courts while barberries things have happened in Ujire and the holly town of Lord Manjunatha’s Dharmasthala.
Sub-Inspector Yogish and the doctor who conducted the post-mortem on Sowjanya’s body should be subjected to Narco- analysis so that actual facts come out in the case, she insisted in her closing remarks.
Mahesh Thimarodi founder of PPV declared his people in the Forum were not afraid of anyone who wilds power of money bags and superstations that hide the truth. Whoever is the culprit whether he belongs to the family of temple rulers or to the college of Ujire would have to be hauled up before the courts and given adequate sentence of punishment for the crimes that they committed in Ujire and Belthangady against college girls or other women in the name of religious, educational or social service.
Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji of Kemar Math, speaking on the occasion, sternly said that no stone would remain unturned when such repeated crimes accrued in a holly place near Netravathi river in Belthangady taluk for decades. If human justice fails, divine justice will prevail in the end, he roared like a lion.
Atradi Amrita Shetty said, a social leader, stated that people should get together in a peaceful way to secure justice in Sowjanyas case for her parents and other relatives.

Meanwhile in Dharmasthala at Heggade’s Beedu police people had come to look for a person who was set to be connected to the murder case of Sowjanya.
