Mangalore: “Laughter makes us forget our worries and live happily,” said His Holiness Sri Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Shiroor Math.
He was addressing the audience of the grand finale of the popular Tulu comedy show ‘Bale Thelipaale Season-II” at Shastavu Shree Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Yedapadavu, Mijar on Sunday, 29th June 2014.
The swamiji praised ‘Bale Thelipaale’ as a very enjoyable programme which he had never missed watching. He honoured ex-serviceman Brigadier I. N. Rai on the occasion. Sri Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, the chief organiser of Bale Telipaale felicitated the swamiji with a shawl and a purse of Rs. 50,000.

Veteran Yakshagana artiste Sri Mijar Annappa and social worker Karekal Hajabba were also honoured during the day.
The finals of ‘Bale Thelipaale Season-II” saw ten teams competing for prizes worth Rs. 7 lakhs, including the FIRST PRIZE JACKPOT OF RS 2 LAKHS. The results will be revealed during the final episode of the programme on NammaTV.
A festive atmosphere prevailed over programme venue which was jam-packed with eager spectators. The performances were judged by celebrity music director GURURKIRAN along with Sri Vijaynath Vittal Shetty and Dr Shivasharan, Director of NammaTV.
‘Bale Thelipaale’ is organized by Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple in association with NammaTV. Capsule of the show is telecast on NammaTV every Monday to Friday from 8:15 to 8.45p.m with repeat at 10.30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Date of telecast will be announced on NammaTV.
