Bangalore:  A Television Cameraman of a Kannada Channel was injured in the head, while several pressmen were beaten, as lawyers jumped on them like  Cheetahas in black coats, when they(Press) were coming out of a court of Judge B.M. Angadi, where Gali Janardhan Reddy was produced in an illegal mining(AMC) case on Friday noon in city.

An OB van of Kannada TV and several cars were damaged, ad stones were hurled at them. The court premises were overcrowded by onlookers and miscreants to catch a glimpse of Bellary mining don, whose Supporters also reached the area.

The assault on reporters was a sequel to an earlier incident at Mysore Bank square, that received much publicity against lawyers conduct.

Angry mediamen staged a ‘sit-in’ protest at the court, and CPC Mirji had to rush in to console them. CM on gathering news said that he would speak to law minister.
