Mangalore ;  A Legal Chariot aimed at creating an awareness about law among the common  man, was inaugurated by Ashok G Ningannavar, Chief District and Sessions Judge and President of District Legal Services Authority, in Mangalore on June 2, Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ningannavar stressed the need for the common man to have some basic knowledge about legal aspects. The campaign will be held upto June 5 under the joint auspices of the Legal Services Authority, DK Police, Mangalore Bar Council and District Administration.

As part of the campaign free legal advice will be given to the people, while efforts would also be made to settle the pending cases before courts.

S P Chengappa, President, Mangalore Bar Council, Dr. N S Chennappa Gowda, Deputy Commissioner, DK, Dr. K N Vijayaprakash,   Zilla Panchayat CEO, Seemanth Kumar Singh,   Police Commissioner and others were present on the occasion.
