Mangaluru : Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy President Taranath Gatty Kapikad said that, journalists do not limit their creative writings to publishing in newspapers and bring out their collection in book form, it will remain a permanent record.
While unveiling the second issue of Mangalore Press Club’s home newspaper ‘Mangalore Press Club Samachara’ e-paper on Thursday at the press house of the city, he said that documenting the writings of journalists can be a source of inspiration for young writers.
He said that the newspaper ‘Mangalore Press Club Samachara’, which records the activities of the journalists’ association and the press club, is a good experiment in which articles useful to the journalists should also be published.
CA Shantarama Shetty, chairman of the district committee of the Red Cross Society, who inaugurated the program, said that the work of the newspapers to attract the attention of the administrative system by shedding light on the problems of the people is complementary to the development of the country.
Mangaluru Press Club President PB Harish Rai presided.
Ramakrishna President of Patrika Bhawan Trust, Jitendra Kundeshwar, General Secretary of DK District Working Journalists Association was present.
