Mangaluru: “Entire BJP is trying hard to regain the power in state while CM Siddaramaiah and some other cabinet ministers are sleeping in the assembly. Wake up Siddaramaiah, news channels are saying that Congress will not come to power in the next assembly elections under your leadership,” said former union minister Janardhana Poojary.
Addressing the press personnel at Mangaluru Press Club on Monday, he said that CM has shown negligence with regard to the privatisation of mother and children hospital at Udupi. He said that he has not got enough information regarding the issue.
“Where are the MLAs of coastal region? What about the intelligence reports? Why CM is showing such negligence,” he questioned.
He further said that CM has not given back anything to the people and Congress party workers who chose him as CM. Many Congress MLAs are unhappy with CM and if the number increases to 10 then the government will fall.
“CM should resign to his post and let Dr Pramaeshwar or D K Shivakumar become the chief minister of the state. If Parameshwar becomes the chief minister then it will be history in Karnataka as a Dalit leader becomes the CM. Being a senior Congressman I have given many advices to CM Siddaramaiah, but his ears are deaf to my advices,” he said.
Former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty, Kallige Taranath Shetty, Arun Coelho and others were present.
