Mangalore: The First state level conference of Life Insurance Corporation Agents’ Organization of India (LICAOI) was held in the city on September 3, Monday. The conference highlighted the various benefits enjoyed by LIC agents.
Addressing the convention, SK Geetha, State Leader of All India Insurance Employees Association, said the LIC agents are playing a very crucial role in the development of the organization and added 40,000 out of the one lakh LIC agents in the state are women. She further said more foreign direct investment would flow into the insurance sector consequent upon the bills tabled in the parliament.
B. Madhav, Secretary, district unit of CPI (M), emphasized the need to strengthen the organization of insurance agents.
Gurudutt, Secretary of Udupi Sub-Division of AIIEA, also spoke on the occasion.
