Hyderabad: It is true that Mohammad Azharuddin is under a ban for life from playing cricket before his actual retirement, but BCCI is likely to revoke the ban under different circumstances, when Azhar (a handsome batting star and former captain of Indian Cricket team) is now an MP, and has advanced in years, and recently lost his younger son in a road mishap.
BCCI’s former Vice-president, Kamal Morarka, has asked BCCI to remove the ban at this stage, when Azhar is under a trauma, and cannot hold a bat for any match.
Kamal was in the punishing BCCI Committee, which had imposed a life ban on his (Azhar) cricket on match-fixing charges earlier, but had disagreed on the ban in 2000(ten years ago).
His two colleagues Ramprasad and Muthiah also now feel the heat of suffering undergone by the stylish batsman, Azharuddin the Moradabad MP.
Kamal confirmed that there was no proper evidence to hold Azhar responsible for a match-fixing that there was no proper evidence to hold Azhar responsible for a match-fixing sin, but he took a life ban served on him.
However, Jaiwant Lele, who was Secretary to the banning(BCCI)committee then, felt in another 6 months, the illogical ban could be safely lifted.
