Mangalore : The rescued are identified as Sathish (23), son of Sathyanarayana, resident of b-421 B-block 18 DOS Housing colony, Indira nagar 3rd stage Bangalore and Aswith (23), son of Periya Swami, resident of Siddapur Viraajpete, Kodagu.
It is learnt that, Satish and Ashwith both students of Nitte Engineering College came to beach with six other students to have fun time on the beach and enjoy with their friends.
During the fun time, the lifeguards quickly sprung into action and saved two who were struggling to come out of water and were about to get drowned.
Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project CEO Yatish Kumar Baikampady appreciated the efforts of the lifeguards who have rescued more than 100 lives in the beach.
He also urged the parents to motivate their children to learn swimming in order to protect themselves and others from drowning.
