Mangalore: With a view to encourage literary spirits among Lions Club members in city, the Kadri Hills section has arranged the roar to be heard in Kannada through a Lions’ Kannada’ Literature – Culture’ Conference on 17th December, Friday, at 9am (upto 6 pm) in Town Hall, Mangalore City, with a purpose of popularizing usage of Kannada in everyday life at homes, offices, anywhere, said President N.T. Raja in a Press conference at Hotel Kudla near Jyothi circle Mangalore.
Kannada poet, columnist and reputed humour creator and Bank officer H. Dundiraj has been elected to this regional Conference as President and Smt. Bhuvaneshwari Hegde, Professor of Economics and Humour writer leads the Think –Tank session. Several essays written by thinkers will be presented in this get – together, stated A. Dharmasthala CEO Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade will inaugurate this illustrious meet, mainly of listeners. They will draw the chariot of Kannada at the venue.
Several competitions in poetry, story, essay, humour spilling writings are arranged for High School /College students as well as those from common public.
