Mangaluru: “In between of communal violence literary academies should strive towards creating a peaceful society,” said former minister B A Mohiudhin.
He was speaking after releasing the video of two years of achievements of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, on Saturday.
“Beary academy should try to include other communities and should create a communal harmony in the society,” he said.
After releasing ‘Belkiri’ special edition academy founder President Abdul Rahim said that beary academy is functioning better than any other academy. It is an academy given by the government to the society. Further course of action will be decided by taking other communities culture, art, and literature into consideration.
Speaking on the occasion academy President B A Muhammad Haneef said that a Beary-Kannada-English dictionary will be sent for printing in December. 400 ‘dhuff’ artists were provided by ‘ghuff’ materials.
Academy registrar Umarabba, t A Aliyabba, Abdul Hammed and others were present.
