Mangaluru : MLA J.R. Lobo directed officials from the Fisheries Department to submit a proposal to the government about improving roads in the Old Port Area.

In a meeting held at the Fisheries Department office on Friday, fishermen complained against officials for not taking up the third phase of desilting work in the Old Port area. Mr. Lobo asked officials to extend till June 10 the process of legitimising documents of fishing boats operating from the port,
