Mangalore : New local channel ‘Abbakka TV 24*7’ presented by ‘Will Power Media’ will be launched at Abbakka Vedike, Kulal Mandir, Kolya on Jan 31, Thursday at 10.45 am.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 24, Thursday channel programme director Shashidhar Poyyathabail said that the channel will be disseminated through CCN channel to areas like Kallapu, Thokkottu Beeri, Thalapady, Manjeshwar, Deralakatte, Mudipu Bolyaru, Ira, Salethoor and nearby places. In coming days it will be telecasted through Puttur Cable Network (PCN) and Kasargod City Cable (KCC).
Speaking about the programme he said that since the channel is named after a women leader, the channel will give importance to any small or big programmes organized by and for women. The channel will also telecast the ‘Bhakti Sudha’ programme in three religions in the morning.
Sri Matanandamayi of Odiyoor will inaugurate the event and seven women symboliccally representing Abbakka like Prasanna Manjunath, Sulochana Chittharanjan, Dr Ashajyothi Rai, Shahnaz Razak, Kripa Amar Alva, Bharathi B M and Soumya Raveendra Shetty.
Social worker and business man Dr G Shankar will launch the channel. Nitte University vice chancellor N Vinay Hegde will launch the logo of the channel, while Mumbai based bussinessman Suresh Kanchan will be the chief guest.
Many dignitaries like MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Yogish Bhat, MLA Krishna J Palemar, MLA U T Khader, MLA Ramanath Rai, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC Monappa Bhandary and many others will particpate in the event.
Ashwini Harish Nayak, Supreeth Bhandary Ira, Ganesh Thalapady and Gangadhar Piliyoor were present at the ress meet.
