Mangalore : Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was stopped by around 200 Congress activists on his way to the city here on May 22, Sunday.
The Congress activists shouted slogans and used abusive language causing traffic block for about half an hour.
The team of Police officials immediately took action against the local Congress leaders and taken into the custody.
In the Morning, Yeddyurappa landed at Bajpe airport at 11.40 am and paid homage to the air crash victims.
Later addressing the press meet held at Circuit House, said that the government has released Rs 15 crore for the extension of the airport runway. He also said that the district jail will be shifted soon within the city limits.
He also said that, his decisionsin illegal miningand has stopped 90 percent of activity.
