Bantwal: The python that had tried to swallow Vaishak at Sajipa village in Bantwal taluk who bravely fought it and managed to rescue himself was once again spotted on Wednesday nearly 15 days after the incident. However this time round the locals caught the python and handed it over to forest department officials on Wednesday night.
However two of the locals – Abdul Sattar and Jagadish Kudur – were bitten by the python while attempting to catch the same and were admitted to Bantwal government hospital for treatment.
It may be recalled that Vaishak (11), son of Suresh and Harinakshi from Kolake, used his presence of mind and hit the python that had encircled his body with a sharp stone on 4th October causing it to retreat. Strangely the python had appeared for a second time in his courtyard when he returned home after undergoing two days of treatment at the hospital for his injuries.
