Bajpe : The residents of Yedapadav stopped the cattle transporters and handed them over to Bajpe Police, mistaking them to be cattle traffickers on August 11, Monday.

According to Bajpe Police, four people were taking four calves and one cow belonging to Usman of Siddhakatte, Bantwal in the truck to hand over them to Vittal Shetty of Kenjaar Porkady. But when the locals stopped, two of them fled from the scene with a fear of being attacked.

During the interrogation, the transporters informed that the cattle’s were not taken to slaughter house, but it was being transported to Vittal Shetty’s farm.
