Mangaluru : Lockdown will be imposed in the district if the number of Covid-19 cases spike said, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra KV on Saturday July 31.
He said, people should strictly adhere to the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, by wearing masks, maintaining social distance and giving attention to hygiene.”
Imposing weekend curfew too will be necessary. So, the public should strictly adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines, he added.
DC said, people from all sections have faced financial uncertainty. If the public does not want complete lockdown, they should cooperate with the district administration, he said.
The state government has directed that the deputy commissioners should take responsibility to check the spread of Covid cases.
