Bangalore : : The Lokayukta court on May 26, Saturday has rejected the ‘B’ report filed by the Lokayukta police against former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa in connection with the Bhadra Upper Basin irregularities case.
The court which reviewed the ‘B’ report filed by the Lokyukta investigation team led by Lokayukta SP in February last. has directed the cops to conduct a re-investigation and submit its report within the next 21 days.
Though the Lokayukta police had given a clean chit to Yeddyurappa in the case, the petitioner JD(S) spokesperson YSV Dutta had filed his objection to the same.
In his private petition, YSV Dutta had alleged that Yeddyurappa had secured kickbacks of over Rs 13 crore by awarding contract for the Bhadra Upper Basin works to contractors of his choice.
