Mangaluru: Lokayukta officials from the state capital arrived to Mangaluru city on Friday and verified newly constructed concrete road at Marianagara, Pachchanadi in the city.

The officials had arrived after a complaint by a RTI activist who alleged that the road constructed is below the standard approved. The activist has also alleged that the corporator of the area and engineer who completed the road work have violated norms while constructing the road. The lokayukta officials have checked the quality of the road and took samples for further investigation, the sources said.
