Udupi : The Lokayukta police of Udupi have arrested Girish Mohan (36), a geologist working at the Udupi district administration complex at Rajathadri on the charges of  accepting bribe. A cash of Rs 4500 which he accepted as bribe as well as unaccounted money worth Rs 47000 which was found at his office, have been seized by the police on March 19, Tuesday.

The Lokayukta police had earlier received a complaint  from one Sandeep Kotian, a sand miner who had alleged that Girish had demanded a bribe  for renewal of the licence of his sand mine, which had expired.
