Bangalore: All five senior government officials whose hoses were raided on Friday by the Lokayukta officials have been booked under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act.
It may be recalled here that on June 22, Lokayukta sleuths launched simultaneous raids on residences and properties of Minority Welfare Secretary Syed Zameer Pasha, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd., Managing Director N Lakshman Rao Peshwe,Yelahanka Police Inspector Kenchegowda, PWD Additional Secretary Mruthyunjaya B Burji and BESCOM Accounts Controller (Kolar) G Nagaraj in Bangalore, Tumkur, Kolar and Hubli-Dharwad.
Following the raid, immovable property, including a Rs 1.15 crore worth flat in Commercial Laxing Town at Kadugodi, two other immovable properties worth Rs 50 lakh, a moveable property and a car totally worth Rs 24 lakh were seized from Pasha, nearly Rs three crore worth immovable property belonging to Peshwe, sites owned by him on Hennur-Banaswadi Road in Bangalore valued at Rs 1.48 crore were among those confiscated.
It is learnt, during raids on flats at Koramangala, Tilaknagara two cars, seven bank pass books, documents of two lockers were recovered and they are being checked.
