Kundapur:  Lokayukta sleuths, on August 22, Wednesday raided the surveyors’ office in Byndoor following complaints of rampant corruption by surveyors.

Even Ravichandra, a member of Uppunda GP had complained that a surveyor named Manjappa who had surveyed his land for conversion purposes had demanded Rs 3000 as bribe for the sketch.

Reports said no sooner the Lokayukta raid took place, the erring surveyor Manjappa fled in haste, leaving behind his footwear and also mobile phone.
