Subrahmanya :  Parameshwara Gowda (70) who was living all alone in his house at Uppukala in Balugodu village near here on September 17, Wednesday morning. Gowda’s hands and legs were found tied down and his mouth gagged. Police said the assailants might have strangulated him to death.

The things in the drawer of a table nearby was found scattered making it evident that the murder was for monetary gains. Gowda was living all alone since 14 years since the death of his wife.

His daughter was married and his son stayed separately at Kaikamba. The murder was first noticed by one Ganapayya who worked in Gowda’s plantation.

Senior police officials visited the scene of the crime.
