Moodabidiri: “Creativity of a poet can be observed when he will be alone. Loneliness can make any one a poet. Cultural, religious, political relationships had created a barrier around me, but when I broke those barriers I found a poet inside me,” said poet Sathyanarayan Rao Anathi.

He was addressing the gathering at Alva’s Nudisiri – 2016 in ‘Kavi Samaya Kavi Namana’ programme on Saturday.

“Loneliness helped me to learn about beauty, birds, nature and other things. When I tried to depict my feelings in words, my words transformed into poems. Light of knowledge will lead us to think about many things and that light will also help us to build better tomorrows,” he said.

One of his poems ‘Valase Baruva Hakkigalu’ was sung by M S Giridhar during the occasion.
