Mangalore: “Ganesha is an inspiration for me and I have been fascinated by the pictures of Lord Ganesha since my childhood,” says Syed Fakruddin Huseni, popularly known as Mysore Huseni among his friends.
Not many from Mangalore might be aware of this young artist, but they sure will learn more about him and his famous line drawings shortly. He is an expert in transforming a small piece of paper into beautiful works of arts including masks and designs to the fascination of every one.
Huseni who hails from Mandya has already demonstrated his skills at Bovi School in Uchila on July 5, Thursday under the auspices of Omkara Friends and Journey Theatre and at Government School, Someshwar Uchil on July 6.He plans to hold similar programmes at Anandashram School on July 7.
Among his different art works, the line drawings of Ganesha are amazing and he feels it is his best work. To date he has over 4000 line drawings to his credit.
In fact his art form is a fusion of Sanjhi, the Indian paper cutting art form and Origamy, the Japanese paper art work. He has already won several awards including Mysore Dasara Award. He has even experimented with play of lights captured on camera producing surreal images .
