Mangalore : A LPG cylinder explosion killed a 14 year old girl at the basement of Elite Apartment  Kadri Kambala in the wee hours on April 4, Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Bharathi and Shivananda (40), Bhagaya( 35), Anjikya (14) were seriouly injured.

Shivananda deceased Bharati’s father working as watchman in the same apartment, and his family staying in the basement floor.

It is said that, this tragedy is occurred as a gas leakage, Shivananda sensed a Gas smell in the house around 4.40 am. He entered to the room and switched on the light. At the same time the gas cylinder exploded.

The deceased girl is Bharathi slept with her mother and brother. She died on the spot, the three were admitted at a local hospital, and they are under observation.

The firefighters rushed to the spot extinguished the fire. Kadri police have registered a case.
