Mangalore : Members of Make a Difference (MAD) will organize 2 day dream camp for Aloysian Boys Home inmates at Someshwar-Kotekar near here from January 26, Saturday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club held on Jan 24, Thursday, Anjali Rao PN, public relations intern of MAD said that the members of MAD will take the boys for an outing nearby Summer Sands on January 27.
She said that MAD volunteers across India organise such camps for over 3,000 children at risk in January through such dream camps.
The dream camp is a two-day activity, where modules on self-improvement, confidence building, motivation are conducted for children. Specialists, celebrities, motivational speakers and professionals take sessions at these camps and thereby help broaden the horizons of these children.
The camp here includes a variety of sessions which are customised according to the age groups, gender and abilities of the children, while trying to balance life-skill development with exposure to various career opportunities to nurture versatility. The activities include drawing, science experiments, scavenger hunt and other workshops. The valedictory function of the camp on Sunday includes releasing of sky lanterns at the Summer Sands resort.
